Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing
The basis for processing personal data is Lataamo’s legitimate interest (e.g. customer relationship maintenance), customer consent, contract execution and/or legal obligation.
The purpose of processing personal data is to respond to inquiries addressed to Lataamo, to provide and deliver Lataamo’s services, to fulfill contractual obligations, to manage customer relations, service-related invoicing and collection, satisfaction and other surveys, development of services and targeting of marketing/direct marketing, as well as analysis and profiling.
Lataamo processes the data itself. In addition to this, subcontractors or partners may also participate in data processing as needed by Lataamo. Lataamo ensures that these parties process data in accordance with the data protection regulation.
Registered information
Lataamo processes the customer’s or other registered persons personal data which may include for example the following:
- Basic data of the registered user (e.g. name, telephone number, e-mail address)
- Information about the registered company’s contact persons (e.g. contact persons’ names, positions, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses)
- Web identifiers such as IP address and information collected through cookies and other similar technologies
- Reading information and site behavior of newsletter and blog subscribers
- Analysis and profile data
- Information about the customer and the contract (e.g. information about past and current contracts of offers, contact with the customer, customer payment information, feedback given by the customer)
- Information about events in which the data subject participates
- Information related to the ban on direct marketing concerning the registrant
- Any other information collected separately with the consent of the registered person
Regular data sources of the register
Personal information is mainly collected from the registered in connection with the service. The information is automatically saved in the register when the user leaves their information or uses www.lataamo.fi service or services owned or managed by Lataamo.
In addition, Lataamo can receive information from authoritative, contact information service providers or other similar entities. We may collect and update personal and business data for the previously described purposes also based on information obtained from publicly available sources and other third parties, within the limits of applicable legislation.
Regular data transfers
Lataamo does not hand over the register information to external parties. Lataamo can hand over the register information to other companies of the same group, affiliated companies of Lataamo of other group companies, and to subcontractors at its discretion. Information can also be disclosed for opinion and market surveys and similar reports.
Data transfer outside the EU/EEA area
Lataamo can transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA area. If information is transferred or processed outside the EU/EEA area, Lataamo ensures that the information in question is properly protected and as required by the currently valid data protection legislation.
Register protection principles and storage
Personal data is processed by Lataamo employees who have the right to process the data contained in the register on behalf of their work. Each user has their own username and password for Lataamo’s systems and the data is protected with appropriate firewalls, passwords and other technical solutions required. Backups containing data are located in locked rooms and only certain pre-designated persons can access the data.
Lataamo stores personal data for as long as is necessary due to the purpose of use. The personal information in the customer and marketing register is deleted when the information to be used is identified as outdated or unreachable.
The necessity of data retention is assessed regularly, taking into account the applicable legislation. Lataamo takes reasonable measures to ensure that personal data incompatible with the purposes, out of date or incorrect are not stored. Lataamo corrects or destroys such information without delay.
Rights of the registrant
The registered person has the right to check the information about themselves stored in the personal register and to demand the correction or deletion of incorrect information. The registered person also has the right to withdraw their consent. In accordance with the data protection regulation (as of 25 May 2018), the data subject has the right to object to or request the restriction of the processing of their data and to file a complaint about the processing of personal data with the supervisory authority. The registrant also has the right to prohibit direct marketing activities aimed at them free of charge.
The registrant can deliver all requests and requirements according to this section to the address mentioned in the statement.
Use of cookies
